While I might not always be the first one at the party, or the last to leave, I do like to make an entrance…so, without further delay…
And, to be quite honest, like most of the fraternity parties I went to at LU, I feel kinda lost. It took me 10 minutes to figure out who Mr. Linky was, and then I signed up twice! Oops…I hope the twins can fix that.
About me, about me…jeez, I don’t really like talking about myself!
Ha! Not really…but where does one start? Well, you could check out one of my first blogs, “How it all Started”, creative title huh? Or, you could look over the Me, Not Me Photo Meme I did a few weeks ago, or I could finally get off my lazy bum and do the 100 Things About Me…see, no link there…I am only on #5…
But, lately I am a lot of things…
I am an expat in Italy – not bella Firenze or antica Roma…but Catanzaro! I know – you’ve all heard of it, haven’t you? Catanzaro? The capital of the region of Calabria??? Still no ringing bells? That is ok…grab your Italian map, look all the way to the bottom (keep going), find the instep of the boot – and we are around there. On some maps it looks like we are directly in the instep, on others a little more towards the toe, but either way – you get the idea…we are SOUTH…and COUNTRY…and we have beautiful landscape.
I am a fiancee…planning to get married back in Texas in November…
I am a sister, a Godmother, an aunt, a cousin, a daughter…(and I wanna break into Alanis Morissette’s “I’m a Bi*ch”. But, I am not, and I won’t.
I am a writer, albeit, unpublished…but I am working on that.
I can’t sing to save my life. I can’t play the violin, or the guitar, or the flute – but I can play “Mary Had a Little Lamb” on the piano – sometimes.
I started a new company, Red Couch Communications, with one of my closest friends in November. We’ve had a few jobs, too…it’s keeping us busy.
I am opening a Bed and Breakfast with my fidanzato this month. The site isn’t up yet, but we are working on it…and working on it, and working on it…
And, I hope if you stop by this blog, you’ll let me know you were here. Most of my non-Expat friends don’t leave comments, and I never know they were here until much later. Leave a link to your blog, too, if you have one, and I’ll pay you a visit…Thanks for the party invite – and happy blogging!
Hi there! Just stopping by for the party.
Linda
Welcome! Happy partying! 🙂
OOps! I see the Bleeding Espresso is in your links–so you already know each other. (Blush)
Ugh. My comment above makes no sense becuase it is actually the second comment. My first comment went astray in cyberspace. I had commented that I had just met another blogger at the party who is an American in Italy. Then my second comment (which looks like my first) was my discovery that you already know each other. 🙂
Wow, a bed and breakfast!! Cool.
Happy Blog Party to you! 🙂

via Blog Party… Buonjourno! You are living my dream. I’ve been to Italia three times now, and would live there in a heartbeat despite not speaking the language. If only my husband wasn’t such a wuss. And if we didn’t have kids to take from their grandparents.
Anyway, I want to be your friend and come visit you. Seriously.
Hi, nice to meet you. Your life sounds really interesting! I’m gald you’re participating in the party. I’m partying at both of my blogs: The Porch Light and Little Fun; Little Learning. Enjoy the party!
Hi! I’m very envious. I’ve been to Italy once and intend to go back as often as I can short of doing what you are doing and living there. I’ve been trying to convince my husband to take me there this fall. I guess we’ll see what happens. In the meantime I’ll check back on your blog and see what it’s like. Happy partying.
Well all right girl, high five! Fellow unpublished writer here who is an EXPERT at procrastination. Need ideas? I’m your girl.
And the Alanis Morissette song? Yep, I’d fit that bill, too. *grin*
Welcome to the party!
So glad you joined the party! And Femminista, thanks for the almost-introduction 😉 I’ve lost so many comments in cyberspace during this party! I hope somebody is bringing some alcohol to help me deal with it…hmm…Cherrye, some paesano vino maybe???
Buona mattina!
L’Italia è un paese bello. Quanto fortunato siete!
Arrivederci
My Italian isn’t great, I hope I got it right!
