Or, almost anyhow.
Tomorrow is World Nutella Day!
Woo hoo…
In honor of this annual munch-fest, I tested my nutella-mixing skills and created
Nutella Chocolate-Chunk Mousse

Yum. This dessert is rich and chocolately, and promises not to dissapoint nutella-lovers everywhere.

Health nuts – be sure to check below for the low-fat option!

Here’s what you need:
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup nutella
– 1/4 tablespoon instant coffee granules
– However much chocolate bar candy you can handle!
– Whipped cream (optional)
In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream and instant coffee.

Mix with a spoon until the coffee is dissolved (about 5 minutes).
Add nutella and beat on medium speed for one minute.
Crumble hard chocolate and beat for an additional 30 seconds.

Spoon into individual cups, cover, and refrigerate at least four hours.
If you are so inclined, add whipped cream just before serving. We didn’t. Instead, we added extra chocolate and a dash of ground instant coffee!

Delizioso!
Now – for that aforementioned low-fat option. After you eat your chocolate-chunk mousse, put on your favorite pair of tennis shoes, go outside, and jog along your route of choice for at least 5 hours~that should do it!
Special thanks to our friends and co-hosts of this year’s World Nutella Day, Michelle of Bleeding Espresso and Sara of Ms. Adventures in Italy. On February 6, be sure to visit the World Nutella Day site for more Nutella-inspired recipes.

Mmm, sounds great…only I’m wondering why you didn’t use the Nutella drinking glasses. Or are they only used for wine and water like at my house? ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is EVIL. Do you know I never had a clue Nutella even existed before I lived in France? I was so delighted when I returned to the U.S. and discovered it everywhere!

Living in America all of my life, I didn’t learn about Nutella until a Turkish exchange student let me try some of his nutella and toast when I was in college. YUM!!! And now I actually have a few recipes at my fingertips to try. I am so excited now!! I am trying the mousse tonight!!!

Michelle – we’ve talked about this. ha ha

Amber – it IS evil, but it was GOOD! I had never had Nutella until I lived in France, either. My hips were better off without it!

Thanks, MB. I like that version, too. But, I don’t “do that” nearly enough!

Erin – let me know if you guys liked it. It is easy. That is why I can make it.

Nadine…chica! Get out there! Nutella is some good stuff. Think about it – spreadable chocolate. I love Europe!

Brooke – Did you and Eric like it?? Maybe you should take some to your boss for his bd!

Had never heard of Nutella until I got to Europe. It’s it crazy? I didn’t even know we had this in the U.S. Of course, I’m just a gal from Georgia and had never been anywhere before I came over here to live. If it wasn’t in Georgia, it didn’t exist. Did I lead a sheltered life, or what?
